NOIDA: A team of Income Tax department on Thursday performed a raid at the premises of Noida Authority’s assistant project engineer, Brijpal Chaudhury.
The IT officers performed a seek operation and scanned his house in sector 27 and seized some paperwork and money from the spot. They also wondered Chaudhury and his members of the family in reference to a case. It is claimed Chaudhury has got wealth greater than his reliable source of revenue.
The IT officers discovered that Chaudhury also owns houses in Sector 50 and 51. Two separate teams also performed inspection on those premises and recovered some paperwork.
The IT department may be scanning his financial institution accounts and the money transaction over a time period. Chaudhury had joined the government services as Junior Engineer in 1981. Chaudhury was also the president of Noida Employees Association in early 90s and is understood for strong political and social networks.
