CHENNAI: In the coming days, social media might be flooded with movies on DMK president M Karunanidhi because the birthday celebration’s IT wing is uploading movies to show the birthday celebration patriarch’s achievements since he become a PWD minister in C N Annadurai’s government in 1967. The social media campaign is being planned to coincide with Karunanidhi’s 94th birthday on June three.
The DMK IT wing managers have readied movies showing his contributions to each government division.
“We started uploading the movies on social media, especially on WhatsApp, for the sake of birthday celebration cadres and supporters who sought after to know about Kalaignar (Karunanidhi) and the birthday celebration. So a long way, now we have uploaded five movies, each operating into two to three mins,” DMK IT wing chief and Madurai central MLA Palanivel Thiagarajan informed TOI.
The wing has been running on the project for the past few months. “We gained pictures and movies from our MLAs, district secretaries and from the birthday celebration headquarters. We searched and took a number of books from DMK running president M Okay Stalin. These books have been introduced to him on his birthdays,” mentioned Thiagarajan. Most of the books from Stalin have been about the Dravidian history and the political movement related to it, he mentioned.
