People of all faiths organise Sahr and Iftar

HYDERABAD: In a heart-warming development, people of all communities are noticed coming in combination for Sahr and Iftar as a part of the continuing holy Ramzan season.

At Borabanda division, citizens from across faiths - Hindus, Sikhs and Christians - are often found coming forward to serve devotees right through the pre-dawn meal (Sahr). Similar points of interest are on display right through Iftar as neatly.

"Over the last couple of years, it has been happening that during Sahr Hindu, Sikh and Christians brothers join Muslims to prepare the meal and serve the devotees who gather here. They come here around 1am and the food is served among the devotees by dawn. It is very evident from the look on the faces that this service gives them immense pleasure. Also, it is a great way for people from all communities to bond," stated deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin.

Sharing his revel in, Anand Kumar stated how it's occasions like these that bring people in combination and strengthen the bond of brotherhood among them.

"It is great a pleasure for me to serve the devotees at this time. We come here regularly in the afternoon and stay up till dawn. I used to hear about Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb but through this I have had the opportunity to experience it," Kumar stated.
