KOLKATA: The circle of relatives of a patient has lodged a case of medical negligence towards the Columbia Asia Hospital in Kolkata.
The circle of relatives has alleged that the sanatorium workforce infused blood of a fallacious staff whilst acting a surgical operation.
The case has been filed in Kolkata's Bidhan Nagar police station.
The patient, recognized as Baishakhi Saha, was once taken to sanatorium after she had complained of belly pain.
The girl is now battling for her life and is at the ventilator as publish operation as a substitute of A+ blood - which is her blood staff - the sanatorium allegedly transfused AB+ into her body. Following which she suffered multiple organ failures.
"I admitted my wife to Columbia Asia sanatorium on June five. She was once infused blood of a fallacious staff throughout surgical operation. Her lungs and kidneys are broken.
Administration is now threatening to prevent remedy if I refuse to pay the expenses. I've already paid Rs 2.five lakh," Baishakhi's husband Abhijit Saha advised ANI.
Abhijit has also despatched a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asking her to take strict movements towards the sanatorium government.
