K'taka Cong working President SR Patil resigns

NEW DELHI: Karnataka North Congress operating President SR Patil on Sunday tendered his resignation on moral grounds owing to birthday party's performance in contemporary meeting elections in the state.


Patil has despatched his resignation letter to Congress President Rahul Gandhi.


The birthday party prime command Gandhi is yet to reply to Patil's resignation.


Patil (69) had been the minister in the earlier Siddaramiah executive. He served because the Minister for Infrastructure, knowledge technology, biotechnology, science and technology, planning and statistics in the state executive.
