No milk in midday meal menu, BSA says clerical mistake

AGRA: The noon meal menu for 2018-19 issued by the fundamental schooling division for number one and upper number one faculties in the state has now not provision of offering milk for college kids. According to the six-day menu issued at the district degree, seasonal fruits will likely be dispensed to students on Monday. Besides 'kheer' and 'tahari' (each rice arrangements) will likely be served on two days. The transfer to drop milk has been widely criticized.

However, elementary shiksha adhikari (BSA), Agra, Anand Prakash Sharma mentioned, "Non-inclusion of milk in the midday meal menu is a clerical mistake. Students will be provided milk as usual when schools reopen in July."


As per the new menu, students, on Monday, will likely be served cooked vegetable, roti and seasonal fruit. On Tuesday, they will get rice with vegetable and dal (lentils) or sambar. On Wednesday, tahri and kheer will likely be given. Roti, greens and dal will likely be Thursday's menu. On Friday once more, tahri and kheer will likely be served. On Saturday, rice, greens and soybeans will likely be in the menu.


According to college teachers, this time milk has now not been included in the noon meal menu. Besides this there's no main change in the menu.


On Saturday, the noon menu was circulated on social media. Many people criticized the transfer to drop milk from the menu.
