NOIDA: A lady and a gymnasium instructor were arrested for allegedly seeking to extort Rs 25 crore from the landlord of a information channel to withdraw a criticism of sexual attack towards him, which the mediaperson described as false.
The lady and her good friend Vinod Yadav run a gymnasium in Indirapuram and had filed a criticism towards the channel proprietor at Delhi’s Tughlaq Road police station in February. Sources stated the girl had befriended the sufferer when he had visited the gymnasium six months in the past and recorded some of their personal moments. After Yadav made a choice demanding Rs 25 crore, the channel proprietor filed a criticism at Phase III police station, accusing the duo of harassment and blackmailing him. On Wednesday, the 2 had requested the sufferer to return to a restaurant in Sector 63 with Rs 2 crore.
“The mediaperson informed police and a staff was once deployed in plainclothes. He reached the spot with a bag of cash. When the girl and her good friend reached there, they had been arrested,” stated Amit Kumar Singh, SHO of Phase III police station.
