Odisha: Nine cops injured in bee attack in Boudh

BHUBANESWAR: At least 9 police team of workers have been injured in bee attack all through firing coaching in a forest close to Brahmanapalli in Boudh district on Sunday. They have been admitted right into a hospital in Boudh.
According to Bibhuti Bhushan Panda, commandant-in-charge of fifth India Reserve Battalion (IRB) battalion, the incident came about when jawans of the battalion have been busy in firing observe inside Baghuapada forest.


Panda said battalion team of workers reached the observe web page at 6 am. They conducted a number of rounds of firing practices till the bees invaded into the observe house at round nine am, he added.


“The bees in large numbers came out of a hive situated in the back of the protection team of workers and started attacking them. Most of the team of workers lied on the floor to escape from the bees, but 9 of them operating for a cover stung by way of the honey bees,” he added.


The reserve battalion is situated at Balasingha in Boudh district. The injured police team of workers have been rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Boudh. “It was for the first time I experienced bee attack. So I didn't have any thought about the techniques to get respite from the bee attack,” said an injured cop.


Panda said the injured law enforcement officials have been discharged from the hospital after remedy.
