NEW DELHI: A 38-year-old taekwondo trainer was once arrested for allegedly raping a girl at her home in Rangpuri Pahari space close to Vasant Kunj. The accused controlled to escape after the incident but was once later caught after the survivor identified him from a listing of past offenders.

The accused, identified as Sandeep Chauhan, was once arrested two months again for allegedly masturbating in front of 2 ladies and had recently pop out on bail.
According to the police, Chauhan has over 30 instances of molestation, stalking, snatching and robbery registered in opposition to him. Based on the lady’s criticism, a case under sections 376 (rape), 307 (attempt to homicide), 392 (robbery), 328 (poisoning), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (threatening) was once registered in opposition to him.
The incident took place on Friday when the 27-year-old lady, who remains on my own at a rented lodging, returned home from work round nine.30pm. As she entered her house, Chauhan approached her from at the back of and compelled his manner inside. After barging into her house, he thrashed her prior to raping her.
A police officer mentioned that Chauhan did not know the lady for my part and best saw her on the day he attacked her.
The lady told police that she went to work the next day to come and narrated her ordeal to a colleague, who accompanied her to Vasant Kunj (north) police station. “As she went on describing the accused, law enforcement officials showed her a photograph of Chauhan and he or she showed that he was once the accused,” an officer mentioned.
Chauhan, who is married with a child, resided in Paschim Vihar. He used to teach taekwondo at colleges prior to he was once first arrested.
