Poisoned food, not liquor, claimed 4 lives in Sivakasi

SIVAKASI: It used to be a poison-laced hen dish, not liquor, that killed four other folks at Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district on Sunday.

The dish used to be prepared via the sister of one of the most victims. Police have arrested the girl, known as D Valli, 33.

Sivakasi the town police, which had registered a case under CrPC – Section 174 (suspicious death), modified the case to Section IPC 302 (punishment for homicide). The villagers, who too concept adulterated liquor had claimed the lives, had staged a protest on Sunday.
