LUDHIANA: Conceding to the long-pending call for to fill vacancies at the neighborhood home for specially abled persons, the Punjab executive has given a green sign to the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development, to fill all vacant posts at the home below its roadmap to render all services and products to them. The department has invited programs to fill many vacant posts, including nursing assistant, trainer, clerk, helpers, cook, safety group of workers, and different staff.

Giving more details, district social safety officer (DSSO) Inderpreet Kaur stated: “The neighborhood home was wanting complete group of workers for its better functioning, and after you have a green sign from the government, the dept went forward with recruiting group of workers for all vacant posts. At present, there are nine beneficiaries residing in the community home, which operates from the complex of Braille Bhawan, Jamalpur, and has a capability of 50 beds. Once all of the recruitment process is complete, there will be no shortage of group of workers in the community home, and the complex would even have new playgrounds, including football, cricket, kabbadi, athletics (shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, and lengthy bounce), sports job room, and gymnasium for the entire beneficiaries residing there.


She also disclosed that the Punjab executive had arrange three neighborhood properties for such persons at Ludhiana, Amritsar, and Rajpura, the place the beneficiaries are equipped unfastened accommodation, healthcare, schooling, and counselling. “Further, in association with NGO ‘Sarthak’, a character building course may be underway for persons residing at the home,” she added.
