Rain to make comeback in Hyderabad on June 22

HYDERABAD: After a lull of 2 weeks, rains are likely to make a comeback to the town post June 21, predicts the Indian Meteorological Department, Hyderabad.

It used to be on June 2 that the entire town received heavy spell of rainfall bringing down the maximum temperature by a sharp eight degrees, to 30.7 stage Celsius. With the southwest monsoon happening a hiatus, the maximum temperature since then has been on the upward push because it settled on 37 stage celsius on Sunday.


However, meteorologists declare that the mercury levels will again fall with the monsoon task expected to extend over the weekend.


“Currently the monsoon stream is weak around the state. From June 22, the stream will revive as all districts in Telangana will receive light to reasonable rainfall,” said Raja Rao, meteorologist at IMD, Hyderabad.


Cloud overcast accompanied with light showers in remoted spaces within the town introduced reduction in some spaces equivalent to Gachibowli, Madhapur, Film Nagar, Banjara Hills, Punjagutta on Sunday. Few pockets in districts equivalent to Warangal, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Komarabheem, Mahabubabad, Vikarabad, Nizamabad received light rainfall.


The IMD, Hyderabad has issued a thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds warning for all districts from June 18-20. Weathermen attributed the current weather stipulations to upper cyclonic stream over west central Bay of Bengal adjoining south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coast and a trough extending from Odisha to south internal Karnataka across Telangana.
