Rs 2L stolen from woman’s bag outside trial room

NEW DELHI: Around Rs 2 lakh used to be stolen from a lady’s bag at a shop on central Delhi’s Tughlaq Road when she went inside of an ordeal room to take a look at an outfit.

The woman, who got here to Delhi from Hyderabad for 2 days with her husband, had left her bag outside the trial room on Tuesday when the incident happened. On finding her money lacking, the lady alerted her husband, Srinivas, who then informed the shop supervisor, and later the police. An FIR used to be registered and a group used to be formed to trace the accused.

CCTV footage displays another woman opening her bag and eliminating the money. Speaking to TOI, Srinivas, who went back to his house in Hyderabad, mentioned, “I used to be having a look at different pieces and my spouse used to be inside the trial room. There used to be a stool outside each and every cabin for patrons to keep their belongings. My spouse, like every different buyer, saved her handbag there and took barely a minute to change. When she got here out, the bag used to be proper the place she had left it”.

He added that his spouse then changed back to her clothes and went to the billing counter. “At the counter, she found the money lacking. We instructed the shop supervisor about it. He scanned the CCTV footage, and noticed a lady opening the bag. She might be noticed preserving the money in her bag and shifting out of the shop,” he mentioned.

Police have circulated the lady’s picture on all WhatsApp groups and groups were formed to nab her.
