COIMBATORE: Schoolteachers from the district have raised considerations over the splitting of Coimbatore educational district into 4.
While Coimbatore was divided into 4 educational districts and a district educational officer (DEO) has been appointed for each and every district, teachers say the varsity educational department had no longer consulted them sooner than taking the verdict.
Government schoolteachers from the district stated teachers and fogeys from some spaces had to go back and forth long distances to reach the DEO’s place of business, beneath the current plan. They stated the provision of public delivery was no longer considered whilst splitting the district.
However, education department officials stated the verdict was taken after consulting the stakeholders and with due attention.
A schoolteacher stated in the present plan, the place of business of the SS Kulam DEO is lately situated in Ondipudur. “If a father or mother or a instructor from Annur has to reach the DEO’s place of business with a subject, they would have to take a bus to Gandhipuram and then take every other bus from Gandhipuram to Ondipudur, which might motive a lot of inconvenience,” stated a central authority schoolteacher.
Teachers also stated in the present scheme, Periyanaickenpalayam and Karamadai panchayat unions had been clubbed at the side of Coimbatore town because the Coimbatore educational district, which was contradictory.
Currently, Coimbatore town, Periyanaickenpalayam and Karamadai come beneath Coimbatore educational district; Kinathukadavu, Madukkarai, Thondamuthur, and Perur come beneath Perur educational district; Sarkarsamakulam, Annur, Sulur and Sultanpet come beneath Sarkarsamakulam educational district; and Valparai, Pollachi South, Pollachi North and Anamalai come beneath Pollachi educational district.
Saying the varsity education department had decided on these divisions with out consulting headmasters, teachers or place of business employees, they stated the ideal approach to divide the district into educational districts was as follows:
Coimbatore (South) educational district: Kinathukadavu, Madukkarai, Thondamuthur, Perur; Coimbatore (North) educational district: Coimbatore town, Sulur, Sultanpet, Sarkarsamakulam; Mettupalayam educational district: Periyanaickenpalayam, Karamadai, Annur; and Pollachi educational district be retained as it's now.
