GUWAHATI: The Assam police on Monday arrange an SIT to probe into the June eight lynching of two Guwahati youths in Karbi Anglong, whilst 5 extra people believed to be without delay concerned in the crime had been arrested.
Nilotpal Das (29) and his friend Abhijeet Nath (30)had gone to consult with the Kangt hilangso waterfall to catch ornam ental fish. Some villagers, who suspected them to be child-lifters, stopped their car , pulled them out of the auto and lynched them. The killings caused fashionable protests across the state.
"The SIT will be headed by Indranil Barua, additional SP (HQ). He will be assisted by two other officials," said SP (Karbi Anglong) V Siva Prasad Ganjala.
