AHMEDABAD: While the solar performed hide-and-seek with the town on Sunday, Saturday night time brought drizzle in some parts of the town. On Sunday, some parts of South Gujarat received sporadic rains as India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded eight.2mm rain in Surat and 7mm rain in Valsad district.
IMD web page predicts light to moderate rain in maximum parts of the state on Monday. For next four days, central and northern parts of the state, Saurashtra and Kutch area would most commonly remain dry while South Gujarat would receive some much-needed rain. Met department officers mentioned that a device is forming off the coast of Maharashtra which is expected to succeed in the state this week.
The device may bring rains. Traditionally the 3rd week of June declares arrival of monsoon in maximum parts of the state. IMD officers are assured that the rains will follow the pattern.
