Staff crunch: 400 MTC buses off road

CHENNAI: Nearly 400 Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses don't seem to be operated day by day due to non-availability of staff, respectable knowledge presentations.

However, drivers say the loss of punctuality could also be due to traffic woes. “Given the traffic conditions, it's practically impossible for us to complete the go back and forth on time and a prolong of as much as an hour is inevitable during height hours,” said an MTC driving force on the Koyambedu-Siruseri direction.
