MADURAI: The Madurai bench of the Madras prime courtroom on Wednesday allowed a petition in the hunt for to implead 3 deputy tahsildars in Tuticorin district, who allegedly issued orders to police to open fire on anti-Sterlite protesters on May 22.
Thirteen other folks have been killed and a number of other others have been injured within the police firing.
A bench of Justice C T Selvam and A M Basheer Ahmed allowed the petition when it came for listening to.
Petitioner N Muthu Amuthanathan contended that the manager secretary and the DGP had failed of their tasks and sought a probe by means of a different investigation group (SIT) monitored by means of the prime courtroom.
The courtroom seen that it needs to know the legitimate stand of the government at the issue.
It allowed the petitioner to implead deputy tahsildars Sekar, Kannan and Chandran as respondents.
