2 Mohali women booked for duping Ambala man

AMBALA: Baldev Nagar police have registered a case in opposition to two individuals for duping a resident of Ambala of Rs 8.60 lakh at the pretext of sending him out of the country on study visa. The accused were recognized as Samanpreet Kaur (alias Manpreet) and Jasbir Kaur of Fair Way Consultants in Sector 70 of Mohali.


The complainant, Gurmeet Singh, mentioned on January 29 he advised police officers that Samanpreet and Jasbir had duped his son, Manpreet, of Rs 8.60 lakh. On May 21, when Gurmeet went to a bank and submitted one of the most cheques to withdraw money, the bank officials dishonored it.


Following this, he called each the accused, who did not reply to his calls. In his criticism. He advised police officers that the accused have been deliberately harassing him after duping his family of Rs 8.60 lakh.


“On July 17, when I demanded the cash from the accused, they threatened to kill us,” the complainant added.


On Gurmeet’s remark, Baldev Nagar police have registered a case in opposition to the two accused below Sections 406 (punishment for legal breach of believe) and 420 (dishonest and dishonestly inducing supply of assets) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
