NOIDA: Power supply from Sector 129 substation shall be stopped from 9am to 12.30pm on Sunday. This is to interchange burnt cables and resurface new cables.
According to A K Singh, superintending engineer, Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nagam Ltd (PVVNL) division II & III, the Sector 129 substation caters to almost 10 sectors specifically 45, 88, 105, 108, 123 and more together with neighbouring villages. Singh maintained that the work of cable restore and resurfacing started on Saturday at Sector 129 substation, but could not be completed because of the level of wear and tear discovered. Nearly a month back, a fireplace had damaged the underground cables at Sector 129 substation.
