ALLAHABAD: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) unit of UP Police is investigating an FIR lodged by an Allahabad-based adolescence alleging that he was once contacted by contributors of terrorist organisation Islamic State (ISIS) on WhatsApp and was once promised $5,000 in exchange for delicate information about Indian intelligence businesses on Saturday.
The adolescence, who is operating within the city after completing his research in Mumbai, gained the messages from two other US-based numbers. The FIR was once registered with Dhoomanganj police under the IT Act overdue Friday night.

SP (city) Brajesh Kumar Srivastva, mentioned, "The ATS unit of UP Police has started its investigation into the case. The local police have been assisting the ATS squad and things would be clearer within a day or two."

Srivastva additionally mentioned, "The police have been probing the numbers which were used to send messages to the man through WhatsApp."

IG (ATS) Asim Arun mentioned that Allahabad police leader had requested for help within the case and the ATS was once probing it.


Srivastava mentioned the adolescence approached the police after he was once added to an unidentified WhatsApp team and with the emblem of ISIS as a display picture. He gained the messages at the team from two other numbers.


The adolescence additionally informed the police that the miscreants threatened him with dire penalties if he failed to practice their orders.


Police mentioned that the man gained the message whilst he was once gazing a film online, on Friday, when he was once added to an unidentified WhatsApp team.
