Govt to rope in 22 lakh students for Paudhagiri

GURUGRAM: ‘Paudhagiri’, a marketing campaign to increase the fairway duvet in the state, used to be kicked off by leader minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday.

The marketing campaign intends to rope in 22 lakh scholars across the state, learning in classes VI to XII, to plant a sapling and subsequently take care of it. Gurugram is the first district to start this marketing campaign.


As a part of the initiative, three,100 scholars from quite a lot of faculties of the district participated in the plantation drive. CM Khattar flagged offtrucks and trolleys that carried saplings to the schools of the district from Tau Devi Lal stadium.


While interacting with scholars accrued at the stadium, the CM said,“Each pupil will get a sapling from the wooded area department and will plant it both in the courtyard of their house, a park or their college box or at any open area available in their proximity.” He additionally inspired them to name the plant after a distinguished personality of their selection, “Maybe after a freedom fighter or an ancestral circle of relatives member,” he said.


Khattar said in every six months, the coed will probably be required to add a selfie with their plant on the Paudhagiri app and she or he could be given an incentive of Rs50 in every six months from the government for the next three years. Thus, the coed will get Rs300 in the next three years for taking a look after the sapling planted by them. “If in three years the sapling can continue to exist by itself and in 10 years it will get started giving plants, end result, coloration and in addition lend a hand in checking international warming," he said.
