AHMEDABAD: The investigation of the case of gang-rape in a moving SUV — which juddered the sense of right and wrong of the people in the city and past — is revealing a disquieting internet of love, intercourse, and fatal deceit.
Top police assets said that the 22-year-old rape survivor was in love with the prime accused, Gaurav Dalmiya, a 22-year-old computer engineer living in Ghodasar.
Their intense love, which advanced into a bodily relationship as neatly, slammed into a hurdle when Gaurav’s father Mahavir, who runs a manufacturing unit in Vatva, rejected any prospect of marriage mentioning caste and cultural concerns.
