KANPUR: Police have arrested one Kuldeep alias Ajay of Dasa Newada village for killing a neighbouring woman Shabnam on June 27 afternoon near Rasadhan village underneath the limits of Shivrajpur police station of the district. According to police, Kuldeep had shot useless his alleged estranged lover Shabnam on June 27 and fled thereafter. "The police have arrested him from Uttaripura Phatak in the district on late Friday night," mentioned SP (rural) Pradyumna Singh whilst addressing media on Saturday.
Police mentioned that Shabnam, who used to be pursuing a qualified route from a neighborhood institute, allegedly had an affair with Kuldeep since past few years. However, later the girl parted her ways with Kuldeep over some differences.
Police mentioned that the accused Kuldeep alternatively used to be pressuring Shabnam to return back to him, however she unnoticed.
On June 27, whilst Shabnam used to be returning home from her institute, Kuldeep waylaid her on a motorbike. Kuldeep, who used to be armed with a country-made pistol, then entered into a scuffle with Shabnam, later shot one bullet in her chest and quickly left the spot. Fatally wounded Shabnam died on the spot.
Sources within the village, alternatively mentioned that Kuldeep, a tailor by way of profession, used to be in a dating with the girl. She then reportedly started seeing another boy, which enraged Kuldeep and he attempted to stop her from talking to the opposite boy. She alternatively refused to pay heed to his wish.
