Man found murdered on railway track

Coimbatore: A 40-year-old man used to be found murdered on a railway track at the back of the Coimbatore world airport at SITRA on Thursday morning.
The Coimbatore Railway police have identified the deceased as Ayyapan of Mayiladuthurai. The actual timing of the homicide is but to be ascertained because the police have been alerted by way of the locals handiest within the midday.

There would be major injuries especially round his head portion, if at all the person had died in train twist of fate, a police officer stated. They are suspecting it to be a homicide as there were no major injuries or cuts within the body of the deceased, aside from a single stab mark.


“We are but to figure out whether the deceased used to be stabbed or attacked by way of sharp metals,” the officer stated. The deceased had succumbed to injuries.


Apart from a pocket diary during which the details of the deceased have been mentioned, no other valuables including the purse or watches have been found, the reputable stated, including that no weapons have been found within the surrounding areas.
