Protest against potholes: MNS men dig up road

MUMBAI: A day after the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Monday ransacked the workplace of PWD division in Navi Mumbai’s Turbhe area, a bunch of birthday celebration staff protesting in opposition to the potholes and poor prerequisites of roads, dug up a number of places outdoor the Mantralaya in south Mumbai early on Tuesday.


The incident took place at round 3am on Tuesday while the roads had been abandoned. A bunch of MNS staff arrived near Mantralya, equipped with spade, began digging up the footpath adjacent to Mantralya. While some birthday celebration staff had been shouting slogans, a lot of them had been busy in diggin activity. They threw the particles on the primary street. A Marine Drive police station patrol van, which used to be passing through, swung into action and detained 8 of the accused while a number of others controlled to flee.



The accused had been dropped at the police station and booked for destructive the public belongings and unlawful meeting.


Around 6 individuals have lost their lives in and round Mumbai due to potholes this monsoon season. “We have registered a case and in search of different accused,” mentioned a police officer.
