PRTC seeks hike in toll plaza charges from passengers

PATIALA: With the toll fees going skywards, Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) has sought hike within the fees gathered from the passengers. The PRTC has shot a letter to the state government seeking hike in toll fees from the passengers that would further building up bus fare. The company had lately higher bus fare through six paisa according to kilometre in view of rise in gasoline value.
“In 2011, a notification through the then government was once issued to gather fees of toll from the passengers and the similar had been incorporated in bus fare. We have not higher toll-charges being taken from the passengers since 2011. However, now we have written to the state government to seem into the problem and building up toll fees which can be incorporated in bus fare,” stated PRTC managing director Manjit Singh Narang.
