Public works minister HD Revanna travels 350km daily to escape ‘bad luck’ in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Public works minister HD Revanna, the elder brother of CM HD Kumaraswamy, travels between Bengaluru and Holenarasipura, his meeting constituency in Hassan — a spherical commute of 350km — nearly every day. Reason: he is yet to get authentic accommodation in the city.

So, why isn’t he staying at his own space in Banashankari 2d Stage or any of the homes owned by way of his circle of relatives in and round Padmanabhanagar in Bengaluru? Or take up a space in the city? The grapevine suggests Revanna has been recommended by way of an astrologer in opposition to “snoozing” in his own space in Bengaluru so long as he is a minister. Revanna has an unshakable belief in astrology; he is one neta whose motion and determination is guided by way of auspicious time and days.

I’m yet to be given a space, so I have to trip: Revanna

“I am yet to be given a space in the city, so I have to trip as I have been elected from Holenarasipura,” Revanna said.

Revanna is steadfastly following the recommendation.”

The supposedly lucky bungalow is lately occupied by way of former public works minister H C Mahadevappa, who has 3 months’ time to vacate. Mahadevappa has been living in the bungalow since 2013 and peers believe that the house helped him develop into an impressive minister. “Revanna is restricted about the bungalow and will wait until Mahadevappa vacates,” an authentic in the division of body of workers and administrative reforms (protocol) said.

Left with out a place to stay, Revanna has selected to travel between Bengaluru and Holenarasipura. He wakes up at 5am every day, plays a pooja and meets people from his constituency prior to leaving for Bengaluru at 8am. He arrives in Bengaluru by way of 11.30am and heads back to Hassan round 9pm, reaching round middle of the night. Of path, he makes the commute in a chauffeur-driven govt automobile and the price is borne by way of the federal government.
