AHMEDABAD: It used to be purpose for enormous party for the Hingad circle of relatives from Malegaon, Maharashtra, when on Wednesday, Heena, 30, their eldest daughter, took diksha in Surat from Acharya Yashoverma Surishwar, and began a new bankruptcy of her lifestyles.
What set this diskha aside is the truth that Heena, a topper all over her scholar lifestyles, is an MBBS graduate with a thriving clinical observe at three places in Maharashtra including Mumbai.
Daughter of Ashok and Dhanvati Hingad, Dr Heena, who will now be known as Visharad Mataji, used to be skilled in Chennai, Malegaon and Loni. Ashok Hingad runs a trade in synthetic yarn from Malegaon. While 14 persons from the extended Hingad circle of relatives have taken diksha, Heena is the first from her quick circle of relatives to set foot at the less-trodden trail.
Neeraj Khicha, Heena’s maternal uncle, who attended the diksha rite, said that she had scored 94% in her SSC exam, 86% in junior faculty exam and used to be a gold medallist from Vikhe Patil Medical College in Loni. After internship, she had began her observe at Malegaon, Dahanu and Mumbai.
“However, she all the time felt that drugs used to be not her calling. It used to be her father’s dream to see her daughter become a doctor – which she fulfilled. The seeds of spirituality had been sown in her when she used to be 17 years of age and spent 45 days in Palitana as a part of ‘uththan tapa’. At that point, she had expressed her wish to sign up for a sangha, but the circle of relatives had requested her to attend,” he said.
Heena is the eldest of six daughters. All her sisters reside in Mumbai and pursue careers or education, said her members of the family. The circle of relatives traces its native to Pali in Rajasthan, but have settled in Maharashtra for two generations.
Heena’s sister Mokshda, an MBA graduate, said: “She had refused to marry and had over and over asked the circle of relatives to allow her to become a sadhvi. She avoided technology and led a easy lifestyles. It used to be my grandfather who were given convinced by her, and who in flip convinced the circle of relatives. We are glad of her decision.”
Acharya Yashoverma Surishwar, a monk from the sect of Labdhisurishwar, said that 4 Jain acharyas had participated in the diksha rite.
“It is certainly a singular tournament, for through it a practicing physician embraced the life of a sadhvi. She had expressed her wish previous, but we had requested her to seek permission from her circle of relatives,” he said.
