HYDERABAD: Veteran female singer Ok Rani, who is famous for her song ‘Anthaa Braanthi Yena’ for Devasau movie, passed away on Friday night time at her daughter’s place of abode in Kalyan Nagar, Hyderabad, at 75. Ok Rani, the most popular singer within the olden occasions, has sung more than 500 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Sinhala and Uzbek. She began her making a song adventure when she was once eight years old. She also sang the nationwide anthem of Sri Lanka.
Rani's preliminary motion pictures in 1951 have been Roopavathi (Telugu) and Mohana Sundaram and Singari (Tamil). A yr later, she was once making a song for the lead characters in motion pictures like Kalyani, Kalyanam Panni Paar, Pelli Chesi Choodu, Dharma Devadhai and Dharma Devadha. After marrying Seetha Rami Reddy in 1951, she stayed away from making a song.
