NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on the instance of India's 72nd Independence Day evoked the spirit of patriotism when he sang few strains of the song, "Hum Honge Kamyaab" at Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium.
In a video, the Delhi chief minister may also be noticed buzzing the strains of the famous song on the event.
The Hindi song is an adaptation of the gospel song, which become the protest anthem right through the American Civil Rights Movement. In India, it was translated via famend poet Girija Kumar Mathur.
Earlier within the day, the manager minister in a tweet, quoted strains from Muhammad Iqbal's 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha' to wish the people of the country.
