NEW DELHI: A couple of days after the central govt lower excise accountability on petrol and diesel and several state governments adopted swimsuit, finance minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday took to writing a blog on the factor.

Terming the problem of emerging crude oil costs within the global marketplace as a serious one, Jaitley said oil producing nations have capped their production, thus making a demand-supply mismatch. He used the chance to take a dig on his political opponents announcing that the problem cannot be resolved via both the tweets or television bytes of some opposition leaders.

"Government critics had a good time the political penalties of the rise of the crude costs. This was obtrusive from their comments. When the fee was reduced the day before today, the critics did a volte face and argued that that is bad economics, Jaitley wrote within the blog, revealed on his verified Facebook account.



Jaitley attacked the opposition additional saying that non-BJP ruled states have no longer provided gasoline value relief to customers. "We have a scenario where numerous non-BJP non-NDA States have refused to cross on any get advantages to the consumer. What are the folk intended to conclude?, he wrote adding that states get advantages greater than the Centre from taxes on gasoline.


As many as 15 states - most commonly NDA-ruled ones - effected a Rs 2.50 lower on petrol and diesel, over and above the relief provided via the central govt.
