Richard Branson freezes business ties with Saudis

LONDON: British billionaire Richard Branson has frozen business hyperlinks with Saudi Arabia amid experiences that journalist Jamal Khashoggi will have been murdered on the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.


Branson mentioned that if the experiences are true, it would "clearly change the ability of any of us in the West to do business with the Saudi government."


Branson, founder of Virgin Group, added he will suspend his directorships in two tourism initiatives in Saudi Arabia while an investigation takes place. He has additionally put the discussions about a proposed Saudi investment in house corporations Virgin Galactic and Virgin Orbit on hang.


Saudi Arabia is dealing with expanding global pressure to clarify what happened to Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist, with US President Donald Trump and British international secretary Jeremy Hunt amongst the ones not easy answers.
