NEW DELHI: For the last few Diwalis, diamond service provider Savji Dholakia has always been within the limelight for giving pricey presents to his corporate's deserving staff.
Hailing from Dudhala village in Gujarat’s Amareli district, Dholakia opted out of college on the age of 13 and joined his uncle's diamond business. Later he began his own business with a small loan from his uncle. After 10 years within the diamond polishing business, he set up Hari Krishna Exports in 1991. The corporate, which exports diamond jewellery to about 50 countries, boasts an employee strength of over 6,000.
And why must you be running for him? Just for the bonuses and incentives by myself.
2014: Spent Rs 50 crore as Diwali bonus for employees
2015: Diwali bonus of 491 automobiles and 200 apartments for employees.
2016: Diwali bonus value Rs 51 crore for employees. 1,260 automobiles and 400 apartments proficient.
2017: 1,200 Datsun Redi-GOs proficient as a New Year bonus for employees.
2018: Three staff, who had completed 25 years with the corporate, rewarded with Mercedes-Benz GLS SUVs (on-road price nearly Rs 1 crore)
And as Diwali 2018 arrives, ‘Savjikaka’ can be gifting automobiles to 600 staff — we’re speaking Renault KWIDs and Maruti Suzuki Celerios (on-road costs Rs 4.4 lakh and Rs five.38 lakh, respectively). Nine hundred other employees have opted for mounted deposits and apartments.
Who gets the presents? Not everybody. The rewards are typically given to staff who meet goals — there’s a instrument that evaluates them on various performance parameters (together with how they take care of their families). Only 1,500 of its current group of workers have been eligible for Diwali bonuses in 2018. Call it philanthropy or group control, this seems to be the very best incentive to get the best manpower within the business.
