10 cows mowed down by speeding train in Agra

AGRA: At least 10 cows had been mowed down through a dashing train on Bhandai-Udi Morh rail monitor.


The incident came about on Wednesday evening at around 10pm close to Gajaura village (with reference to Manikpura Halt railway station) of Basai Araila police jurisdiction in Agra district.


On Thursday, the bovine had been cremated through the district management.


According to railway Agra division, 245 farm animals had been mowed down on railway monitor between April to September month on Palwal-Dholpur segment of 190 km. Most farm animals had been killed in the month of July (69), followed through 57 in August, 43 in June, 41 in May and 35 in April. Due to this sort of large number of farm animals run over through trains on the stretch, a complete of 410 trains had been delayed for 5,212 minutes (86.86 hours) in 152 days.
