Collectorate staff goes on flash strike

LUCKNOW: People coming to collectorate for work had to go back disappointed on Thursday as body of workers went on a flash strike to press for their demands. The strike will continue on Friday. The collectorate staff announced the strike at 12.30pm and stated that no work will probably be done till Monday.


Majority of other people had come for court comparable work over disputes, stamp and income comparable, special court marriage and different work. But they have been shocked through the unexpected strike.


State secretary of Uttar Pradesh Ministerial Employees’ Association stated, “We had handed over a memorandum of 13 demands to leader minister in March. Our demands come with changing the name of collectorate to mini secretariat, promotion of 10% of clerks to rank of nayab tehsildar and build up in salary slab. But none of the demands raisd through us have been fulfilled.”
