NEW DELHI: A 55-year-old ACP posted with the Establishment department of Delhi Police allegedly committed suicide by means of jumping off the 10th flooring of the police headquarters on Thursday afternoon. Police say that the cop used to be affected by melancholy which they believe may well be the reason in the back of the suicide. Though no suicide observe has been discovered with him.
The incident happened around 10.30am when ACP Prem Ballabh allegedly climbed onto the window sill at his place of work and jumped off. He had attended a few meetings on Thursday morning.
Cops rushed to the scene as soon as they heard the thud near the portico of the police headquarters and took Ballabh to the sanatorium in a PCR van where he used to be declared lifeless.
Family contributors instructed the police that he used to be present process remedy for melancholy at the GTB sanatorium for the previous one month and used to be on an extended go away one week in the past. An inquest has been initiated within the case.
