MUMBAI: A different Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act court docket on Wednesday convicted a 21-year-old man and sentenced him to life imprisonment for sodomizing his 18-month-old nephew. The complainant, the kid's mother, and other kin became antagonistic.
The court docket convicted the person on the basis of forensic proof. A cop, who used to be a part of the probe, informed the court docket that the date of the incident used to be July 29, 2015. The mother had filed the FIR mentioning that her son used to be sexually assaulted.
The prosecution alleged that the accused had come to their area and informed them that he used to be taking him out to play. It used to be further alleged that the mum later found the accused used to be at the area of another family member and had bolted the door. When she screamed for him to come back out, the accused opened the door. The prosecution stated that the mum found the kid crying and bleeding from his non-public parts.
