Surat: A neighborhood court has sentenced a 30-year-old man to 12 years imprisonment after he was once discovered in charge of raping a 16-year-old girl in May 2016.
The convict Kallu alias Rakesh Yadav, a resident of Chhani in Vadodara, evolved friendship with the minor when she used to go to paintings at a lacework unit close to her space. Yadav, a labourer, began stalking the lady who didn't pass to any college.
Yadav used to stand close to the entry gate of the society where she was once employed. After befriending her, they shared the phone numbers and regularly talking with every other regularly.
Yadav even convinced her to elope with him and requested her to convey cash. She went to meet him taking Rs 7,000 cash after which they stayed in a resort close to the railway station. Yadav then raped her a number of times and later took her to Vadodara. He continued raping the survivor a number of times in a day.
After few days, the lady requested him to prevent bodily relation, however Yadav didn't agree and raped her under the affect of liquor. To save self from the sexual abuse, the lady escaped from his space and returned to Surat. She went to her relative’s space and narrated the ordeal. Later, they approached police and lodged a criticism in Varachha police station.
