Chikkamagaluru: Police arrested a man who used to cheat and sexually abuse widows and divorced women, most of them govt employees, via promising to marry them.
Ramakrishna, 52, a local of Mandya district, would goal women via giving commercials in newspapers that he used to be a central authority worker, in search of a bride, preferably a widow or a divorcee, working in the govt sector. Police mentioned that girls from Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Mandya, Mysuru, Chikkaballapura, Bagalakote, Chamarajanagara and Bengaluru fell prey to his scheme. There were a number of circumstances filed against him in more than a few police stations against him via the sufferers whom he had cheated and sexually abused.
But he had his success run out when he used the same trick on a highschool trainer from Chikkamagaluru. She used to be looking for a groom and found Ramakrishna commercial interesting. She and contacted him. During one in every of their meetings, Ramakrishna stole her jewellery. Alerted via this, the lady woman registered a grievance at Kaduru police, who introduced a hunt for the accused and nabbed him in Madikeri. He used to be produced prior to the court on Thursday.
Police have registered a case below IPC segment 420.
