NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a media record which claimed the government is looking for Rs 3.6 lakh crore from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), alleging that he wishes the volume to fix the "mess his genius economic theories" have created.

Gandhi additionally instructed Reserve Bank governor Urjit Patel to "stand up" to the high minister and "protect the nation".
