PUNE: MP Anil Shirole has granted a fund of Rs 3 crore to build passenger-friendly bus sheds at 100 key locations in the town.
As many as six bus sheds have already been built and feature been opened for passengers.
Shirole on Thursday inaugurated a bus shed at Fergusson College Road.
The new bus sheds are made up of chrome steel, have about 13 to 14 toes seating space to accommodate extra passengers.
Special idea has been given to keep enough free house for physically-challenged electorate. The bus sheds were designed bearing in mind the association of footpaths. The facility does not block the footpath house.
