LUCKNOW: Amidst clamour for a statue of Lord Ram, CM Yogi Adityanath is more likely to announce the set up of mega statue, around 151m on a 51m pedestal in Ayodhya, taller than the 182-m ‘Statue of Unity’ in Gujarat.
The UP executive has won displays at the proposed mission, which is being observed as a Hindutva push by way of BJP before next 12 months’s general elections. Yogi might also announce renaming of Faizabad-Ayodhya after VHP demands of Faizabad being renamed ‘Sri-Ayodhya’.
The executive has also made up our minds to procure more than 280 acres of land across the present airstrip in Faizabad and broaden it into a full-fledged airport. UP’s civil aviation minister Nand Gopal Nandi told TOI they'd soon get started the land acquisition.
