Stand by Akbar allegations, says US journalist

WASHINGTON: US-based journalist Pallavi Gogoi, who has accused M J Akbar of raping her while running underneath him in India, has pushed aside his claims that it was a "consensual relationship", announcing a courting in line with "coercion and abuse of power" is not consensual.


Gogoi, the chief trade editor of National Public Radio, a Washington-based American media organisation, took to Twitter and mentioned she stands by means of every phrase in her published account in The Washington Post.


She mentioned that she would proceed to talk her fact so that other women, who have been sexually assaulted by means of him, are aware of it is fine for them to return forward and discuss their fact too.
