2 on bike snatch Rs 3L from woman in S Delhi

NEW DELHI: A woman lost approximately Rs three lakh to snatchers on a motorcycle in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Friday night. The girl was going home when two males snatched her bag.

Senior law enforcement officials said that 51-year-old Sujata Soni Dua was close to Aurbindo school when the snatching came about and a case has been registered for further investigation.


Dua advised police officers that the incident came about at 7.30pm. In her statement, she said that she had gone to a good looks parlour and was returning home. She was wearing a bag on her right arm, which contained the cash. The males came from behind her and the pillion rider on the motorbike snatched the bag.


“They have been so speedy I may no longer record the registration selection of the motorbike or see their faces. The bag contained Rs 2.75 lakhs,” Dua said.


Investigating officials said that in response to the tips equipped through the girl, they're scanning the CCTV pictures from the world within the route the place the motorbike went. Efforts are being made to identify the make of the two-wheeler and the suspects. Cops are also probing with the local informers lively within the area.
