ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad top court on Tuesday rejected the bail software of Kusum Lata, wife of former Noida chief engineer Yadav Singh, in a case of possessing assets disproportionate to known source of source of revenue and Prevention of Corruption Act.
Yadav Singh is an accused in multi-crore land scam in Noida.
Rejecting the bail software of Kusum Lata, a department bench comprising Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh-I, then again, directed that taking into account the order of the apex court, applicant Kusum Lata is probably not arrested till January 10, 2019 in order to enable her to avail the remedy before an appropriate discussion board.
However, the court made it clear that if she fails to get relief till the mentioned duration, then the trial court would be happy to take coercive motion in opposition to her to safe her presence if she does now not surrender before the trial court after January 10, 2019.
Earlier, the HC court had on November 3, 2018 granted intervening time bail to Kusum Lata on medical ground as she is suffering from some serious ailment.
The court has directed her to cooperate with trial pending in opposition to her in CBI court, Ghaziabad in a money-laundering case.
CBI has submitted a chargesheet in opposition to Yadav Singh, the then chief engineer of Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority along side several others in multi-crore land scam of Noida.
Raids conducted by means of the source of revenue tax department in November 2014 showed that Yadav Singh owned huge belongings disproportionate to his known sources of source of revenue. He was once suspended by means of the Uttar Pradesh govt in February 2015.
