Nagpur: Shankar Chandak. the contractor arrested after a blast which passed off in the military’s central ammunition depot (CAD) in Pulgaon, has been granted bail on Tuesday. The incident which took place remaining month left six dead out which 5 had been contract staff engaged by way of Chandak’s firm.
Chandak was arrested on December 1 and granted an afternoon’s police custody followed by way of judicial remand. He has been launched on a bond of Rs30,000.
Chandak has been a contractor on the CAD since at least a decade and is engaged for supplying staff during demolition of explosives. The staff who died in the incident had been engaged in unloading of 23mm anti-aircraft ammunition due for demolition.
