Coimbatore: While some contributors of the general public have grew to become it into a sell off backyard, others find the distance underneath the Ondipudur Flyover an eyesore.
The waste has spilled over to the service road alongside the flyover used by loads of motorists. The unlawful dumping of construction particles, textile waste and rubbish below the bridge, but even so making the place dirty, offers the motorists a tricky time.
“It has been an issue for more than 5 years. There isn't any rubbish clearing in our house and not below the bridge. It becomes worse when it rains,” says VG Dhamodharan, a resident of Ondipudur.
During the wet season, the garbage mounds change into breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Though locals submitted a number of petitions to the civic authorities, no motion was taken, stated V Uday Kumar, some other resident. “Some other people sell off construction particles at midnight. They know that we can now not allow them if they are attempting to do it within the day,” he stated.
