BENGALURU/UDUPI: The ground at Armed Police Training Centre (APTC) in Yelahanka, which in a different way is a busy venue with training periods, witnessed eerie silence on Saturday afternoon when mortal stays of Karnataka cadre IPS officer Madhukar Shetty, was once stored for public view.
Police officers, friends and members of the family paid their remaining respects to the 47-year-old who succumbed to illness on Friday evening, in Hyderabad.
The body was once flown all the way down to KIA from Hyderabad around 1pm. Later in the night, the body was once taken back to KIA and flown to Mangaluru. The Mangaluru town police commissionerate officers arranged for folks to pay their final respects to Shetty, hailing from neighbouring Udupi, on the technical area of MIA, from where it was once taken to his native position.
According to schedule, cremation will likely be accomplished at Yedadi in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district on Sunday.

Newly designated house minister of Karnataka, M B Patil expressed surprise over Shetty’s dying and mentioned an enquiry will likely be carried if needed.
