HIV case: 5-member panel begins probe

MADURAI: The five-member committee led via further joint director of health services, Dr Malathi, constituted via the Tamil Nadu govt arrived in Madurai to inquire into the incident, the place HIV-infected blood used to be transfused to a pregnant lady at the Sattur govt health facility on Friday.

Meanwhile, the dean in-charge of the Government Rajaji Hospital, Dr S Shanmugasundaram mentioned that infected lady and her donor, who had tried suicide, are both responding to their therapies. The pregnant lady had delicate jaundice along with the HIV an infection and efforts were on to reduce it.
